A large car bomb explosion targeting Ministry of Internal Security HQs was heard outside the government’s offices.
According to security officers the bomb blast happened near both the Ministry of Internal Security and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Casulties have been reported citing the blast happened just a few meters to a popular restaurant. Unconfirmed open sources reports of at least 5 civilians dead and several others injured.
Security has sealed the area and emergency response vehicles seen racing towards the blast site to assist the injured.
No immediate claim of responsibility but Al-Shaabab, usually target government establishments in Mogadishu and most of the times civilians are caught in their vicious acts.
