Burkina Faso authorities have arrested 10 people linked to a series of terror attacks in the country as well as in the neighbouring Cote d’ Ivoire.
The arrested people include three suspected of being involved in the attack carried out on Splendid Hotel and Cappuccino café in the capital Ouagadougou in January this year.
The suspects are also linked to the gun attack at the Grand Bassam resort in Cote d’ Ivoire sometimes in March 2016.
Burkina Faso authorities say a total of 49 people have been questioned over the various attacks.
After further thorough investigations, 39 were released. Authorities point out that six of the suspects had been trained in Niger and believed to have been involved in several terrorist attacks against the United Nations’ peacekeeping forces in Mali.
