A bomb attack on Monday targeting Somali military base in Burhakabo reportedly ended up killing innocent cillians and seriously injuring several others.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened where a remote controlled landmine detonated targeting Somali National Army (SANA0 stationed in the town but hit innocent Somali’s going about their business.
A medical aide at Burhakabo district hospital, confirmed the hospital receiving six people in a very serious condition.
The Harakat Shabaab Mujahideen (HSM) fighters which frequently carry out attacks on government and soft targets such as crowded places, hotels claimed to have killed SNA soldiers through their pro-media channels.
The militant group continues to be humiliated by SNA and AMISOM troops, pushed away from large areas in central and southern Somalia, and though still poses significant threat aiming to topple the western-backed Somali Federal government in Mogadishu.
