At least six innocent Somalis have been killed and 10 others injured when a remote-controlled land mine exploded in Burhakabo district in Baay region of southern Somalia.
According to open sources reports, the blast that rocked the city took place near a police checkpoint and also close to a vegetable market.
This means the perpetrator was targeting the police manning the checkpoint only to kill innocent civilians going about their business.
The propaganda arm of Al-Shabaab which usually rush to claim responsibility of attacks in Somalia has not commented on the shameful mis-target killing six innocent Somalis.
Recently the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab has intensified its attacks in the country, targeting security forces and government officials also in attempt to disrupt the ongoing polls across Somalia.
