Takfiri Boko Haram terrorists have killed scores of people in northeastern Nigeria, an attack condemned by Nigeria President Mohammadu Buhari, describing the killings as “most inhuman and barbaric”.
The militant group has carried out a series of fierce attacks in country’s northeastern since Wednesday.
Friday night, the militants attacked Zabarmari Village which is near the city of Maiduguri, the capital and largest city of Borno State.
Hordes of Boko Haram militants descended into the village overpowering the government forces deployed in the village to stop the militants from advancing Maiduguri.
As government troops retreated and civilian began to flee, a total of six Boko Haram suicide bombers started blowing themselves up killing scores of people.
Meanwhile the Army troop has recovered a vehicle full of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on their ongoing search.
The Takfiri militants looted the shops then torched the village, government immediate reinforcement repulsed them.
Boko Haram pledged allegiance to ISIL terrorist group and has intensified its campaign of terror in Nigeria since Nigerian President Mohammadu Buhari came to power on May 29.
Buhari who is a former army general condemned the attacks and vowed to eradicate the militant group.
