It was a sad scene at Damasak a northeastern town in Nigeria after over 400 bodies was discovered in several marked shallow graves. Some of the bodies were also found in the streets after the joint force of Nigerian-Chadian soldiers took back the town from the Boko Haram militants.

Among the victims of the recent atrocities by the Boko Haram were women, men and children were not spared either whose bodies showed very brutal and crude way in which they died.
The shocking number of the bodies that was found has rocketed from the previous mass killings the militants have committed. This shows how dangerous and inhumane the militants have grown in recent times and the change of mode of operation.
Despite the major atrocities the Boko Haram has committed efforts to deal with them once and for all have been intensified with their main base in the Sambisa Forest currently being attacked by the joint force from Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon militaries taking point.
The Boko Haram who have been trying to establish an Islamic state free of the westernization and Christian have in the last few weeks been cornered and it is just a matter of time before they are eradicated. This is evidenced by the rate at which the territories they had captured have been freed by the joint operation and the recent advancement on their main base in the forest.
