Bandits have shot and injured 3 people traveling in a bus in Maralal far north east Kenya, intelligence and police officials confirm
A administration police officer was shot on his leg as he was traveling for an orthopedic review of his other leg by the bandits.
A student was also a victim of the shooting. The bus was attacked at Muguri in Maralal.
The third person has not been identified yet.
Banditry is on the rise in the region and Kenya Wildlife officials are helping police to monitor the roads.
The administration police officer was shot in the left leg while enroute to Wamba Hospital for orthopedic review for his right leg.
The three were seriously injured and are admitted at Wamba hospital
