Summary:
Aeries of car bombs rocked Iraq on Monday 5th October killing at least 57 people as reported by the Iraqi police and medical officers.
One attack took place near a crowded market in Khalis town that is 80Km northeast of Baghdad killing 35 people. The driver of the car bomb rigged with explosives begged police to allow him park the car to buy medication only for it to explode shortly after.
The other two bombs exploded one at Al Zubair town killing 10 people and the other at Hussainiya district in the outskirts of Baghdad killing 12 people.
The Islamic State has since claimed the responsibility of the car bombs through their affiliated twitter pages. The militants have launched a violent campaign to redraw the Middle East map declaring Islamic caliphates across the region.
The war against Islamic State Takfiri especially in Syria has intensified with countries like Russia conducting precision air strikes on the Daesh positions in the country. The attacks can be viewed as an attempt to show their capability despite hundreds of militants reported to have surrendered and fleeing out of the Middle East.
