Event OSINT Summary: Kenya Army Special Operations Units on Thursday 21st of May 2015 entered the village of Yumbis in Fafi area of Garissa County in NEP Kenya.
The SF SO-Unit was armed with a complete ground assault -CT-Ops kit which included mobility and advanced mobility and night vision capability.
The RSF-SO Unit also had a highly capable Sniper unit, high-tech communications system besides highly effective weaponry for dynamic combat theater and attack sustainability resources.
The unit’s intelligence team are seen here debriefing locals who witnessed the presence and subsequent activities of the Somali based Islamist’s Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen.
Army deployment along the border increased throughout the weekend.
The Rapid Deployment Unit officers are also on high alert in the North Eastern Province of Kenya.
