Ankara Sunday attack reports continues to unfold with latest reports indicating the bomber identified as YPG-trained Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) member/fighter.
A female attacker has been linked with the outlawed PKK since 2013 where she is believed to have crossed into Syria and received terror training in the YPG terrorist organization, Turkey’s interior ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The female attacker is believed to have been involved in the Sunday evening car bombing that killed 35 people in Ankara and left another 125 injured.
According to the ministry, the female jihadist has been identified as Seher Cagla Demir, born in 1992.
The YPG is a Syrian Kurdish militia designated as a terror outfit by Turkey.
Turkey’s President President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed to bring the terrorist groups to their knees saying that his country will not bow to terrorism.
Turkey launched air bombardments targeting PKK position in the he mountainous regions of Kandil and Gara in north Iraq.
During the Turkish air raids, PKK arms depots were destroyed and undisclosed number of PKK militants killed in what is seen as Ankara attack retaliation.
