Tullow Oil, a British oil exploration firm exploring oil and gas in Kenya discovered a massive oil pay at their Amosing prospect in the Turkana area of Kenya.
Energy Intelligence reports show that the Amosing oil discovery appears to have high quality reservoir and may be one of the largest discoveries in the basin to date.
The oil pay could be greater than any other including the Ngamia-1 and the Twiga discoveries.
Tullow Oil reports that it will move the Sakson PR-5 rig which is drilling Twiga South-2 up-dip appraisal, down to the high quality reservoir Amosing discovery.
Amosing oil discovery is exciting to Tullow and it’s Africa Oil counterpart investors.
