Amos Richards rescued himself without a map or compass besides having a broken leg after he crawled the Utah desert for four days.
Richards had a broken leg and was severely traumatized when rescuers found him, police told Strategic Intelligence, after he was rescued by a search party.
Little Blue John Canyon an expanse in the Utah desert could have been Richards death bed but sheer determination and the will to live rescued the 64-year old.
According to Fox News “Richards couldn’t bear weight on his right leg, so spent the next four days and three nights crawling across the desert in an attempt to get back to his car,” the Park Service said.
