AFMADOW, Somalia: Military intelligence (MI) reports from Somalia confirm that KDF troops serving under AMISOM peacekeepers in Somalia killed more than 100 Al-Shabaab terrorists in in Afmadhow, Lower Jubba Somalia on Monday 31st October 2016.
KDF raids was prompted after Al-Shabaab fighters tried to attack pro-government forces in Afmadhow before successfully being repulsed by Somali troops and KDF troops.
Military reports indicate that fierce fight erupted, lasted for several hours between the two sides.
Initial BDA reports indicate at least 140 Al-Shabaab terrorists were neutralized, their battle wagons were also completely destroyed from the heavy shelling by KDF.
Eventually, Al Shabaab group were overpowered by the Somali government troops and allied forces before being pushed and fled towards Miido town, military intelligence reports added.
Barely a week ago, Somalia government troops (SNA) attacked the Al-Shabaab terrorists at their base in Anole village in Lower Jubba and killed many fighters.
