African Union troops backed by Somalia government forces (SNA) on Sunday arrested two Al-Shabaab bomb experts in Lower Jubba of southern Somalia.
The two bomb experts were arrested in a security operation conducted in the region ahead of a regional summit expected to be held on Tuesday.
In a statement, AMISOM reiterated its commitment to making sure Somalia is eliminated of the Al-Shabaab terrorists disrupting the peace of Somali populous.
AMISOM and SNA will continue working closely in making sure the country comes back to the path of stability.
Security is heighted across the Horn of Africa nation especially in Mogadishu to make sure no security loopholes and in turn make sure the significant summit takes place successfully.
