The Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia Al-Shabaab suffered a significant setback after livestock merchants and their employees beat up dozens of fighters who attempted to steal livestock from them.
AMISOM intelligence reports shows the terrorists were making away with animals for sale in Mogadishu before they met stiff resistance from the locals and the sellers.
Al-Shabaab had attacked surrounding villages of KM-50 and KM-67 and looted hundreds of livestock.
Local residents assembled and descended on the terrorists a they were making away with the animals.
The militants were beaten up and their weapons taken away by the angry locals who rebuked the terror group members for their persistent efforts to impoverish the hardworking people of Somalia besides killing thousands others in these heinous crimes.
