An al Shabaab facilitator in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital was arrested in the company. The individual who was arrested by Somali National Intelligence Agency officers was a key link to two other al Shabaab militants arrested last week with a plan to attack targets in the capital.
Through NISA’s twitter account the terrorist works for a company in Mogadishu and has been financially and logistically assisting al Shabaab attacks within Mogadishu. While the crackdown on al Shabaab militants has seen an upsurge of arrests; sympathizers of the terror organization have slipped and as such making the efforts particularly difficult.
Somali security agencies have intensified the crackdown against armed group operatives mainly in the capital, Mogadishu.
