Al-Shabaab Mujahideen has publicly beheaded three men of local Somali origin in Uguji village in Lower Shabelle region of Somalia. The beheaded were members of the group suspected of spying for the Somali government as well as the AMISOM forces.
The al Shabaab commanders have been ordering public beheadings of anybody especially on the mere speculation of disloyalty to the cause attributed to growing friction and tension within organization’s ranks.
The public beheadings are a way to instill fear among the fighters seeing as the terror group has suffered numerous attacks and ambushes by the security forces causing paranoia in the commanding ranks.
