Somali based terror group Harakat Al-Shabaab Mujahideen issued a statement claiming it conducted an ambush targeting a joint operations task force on Bula-Gaduud killing one American Soldier and 4 Somali’s Jubbaland Army troops.
The United States Africa Command AFRICOM issued a statement denying the claims that one of its troops was killed in the attack outside the port city of Kismayo, Juba region of Somalia.
Since SNA troops destroyed al Shabaab-owned Radio Andulus, the militants have lost their main tool for propaganda and indoctrination and have resulted to fake reports and statements to appeal to its followers.
Security analysts have been quoted on numerous occasions saying media is an important tool for terrorists and as such dismantling their media network is the first step in defeating any group of insurgents.
