Al Shabaab militants on Thursday 29th October fought and killed each other in villages in Galgaduud region over collection of taxes.
The commanding chief of Somali forces in the Galgaduud region Col Mohamed Kariye confirmed the incident saying that the infighting among the Al shabaab fighters took place at villages near Elbur town.
Zakah collection is an Islamic levy on wealth. The militants levied the collection on local nomads who are keeping livestock at the rural areas near Elbur town.
The Thursday incident confirms the increased infighting and disagreement within the Somali based militant group.
It also lays bare the fact the militants are broke and in urgent need of finances. The group has no money to pay its fighters rendering them to fight each other over tax money.
Revelation also has it that the group does not pay its fighters according to the promises they are lured with in joining the group. Many, according to those who have surrendered to authorities resort to terrorising civilians and levying irregular taxes.

Aslo issues cornerning wether to join Isis or not.
…..let their financial constraints continue….
And God will cause confusion in their camp. They will turn against themselves and kill themselves in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!!
