Al-Shabaab attacked Arabia High school in Mandera County on Wednesday at 0200hrs.
The militants blew up the staffroom and killed two (2) teachers. The school has five (5) Teachers. Three (3) have been found alive.
The two killed are as follows; Daniel wangila 26yrs, and Phillip Okumu 27 yrs. Their bodies were found in the burnt bombed building.
This shows the terror group targeted Christianity / Christians in the Muslim dominated area.
This is an indicator that’d confirm escalation of attacks on Non-Muslims in NEP escalates in the last quarter of every year (most attacks targeting teachers and quarry workers have occurred during the period between November & December.
On 22 November, Al-Shabaab militants stopped passengers on a Nairobi-bound bus and killed the 28 Kenyans, mainly Christians who could not recite the Muslim statement of faith known as the Shahada in a chilling dawn attack at Arabiya in Mandera near the Kenya-Somali border. Most of those killed in the attack were teachers and health workers who had been posted to the area.
On December 2, 2014, the Somalia-based Al-Shabaab terror group have killed 36 mainly Christian quarry workers in the northern town of Mandera, near the border with Somalia.
Other well known Al-Shabaab attacks in the month of October are in 24th, 2011, when a Russian F1 grenade detonated inside Mwaura’s injuring 14.
In the evening a similar grenade detonated at a Bus Stop killing 1 person and injuring 8 others.
The attacks were linked to Al-Shabaab Terrorists leading to the arrests of the two peratives cum masterminds; Elgiva Bwire Oliacha aka Mohamed Seif.
