Al-Shabaab fighter assassinated a Puntland regional Member of Parliament (MP) in Galkayo, Puntland on the night of Wednesday 23.
The Mp, Abdihakim Moalim Dahir and one of his bodyguards were shoit dead outside the Classic Hotel in Central Galkayo.
Security forces have launched an operation to investigate the crime and track down the gunmen.
Al-Shabab group has claimed the responsibility of killing the lawmaker.
Dahir who has been serving Puntland House for the last three years will be burried in Galkaayo town.
