A Terror group calling itself Al-Muhajiroun (emigrants of East Africa) has threatened East African nations specifically Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania besides the United Nations staff and assets in the region.
On 4th May 2015 OSINT summaries confirmed the affiliate of the Somali Islamist group Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen issued a statement threatening the United Nations as well as the governments of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Intelligence shows the group is active along the Kenyan coast and Mainland Tanzania.
It has been carrying out a recruitment online and has sought professionals in medicine, arms experts, and linguistics.
It is deeply embedded in social networks and closely works with other offshoots of the Somali Islamist group Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen including Al-Hijra.
