Kenyan expat who will be coming home to hold the key Airtel position holds MBAs from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts, USA and the University of Nairobi.
Mr. Khamis who has been appointed as the Airtel Kenya Commercial Director will take up the position and shall be in charge of three departments; Airtel Kenya customer service, Airtel money and enterprise.
The man had previously served as the Central and West Africa general manager at Royal Phillips for a period of two years.
According the Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi, the man who brings valuable know-how to Airtel fits the bill since he has previously acquired extensive knowledge of commerce, and understanding of consumer and brand dynamics across multiple markets in Africa.
