The Afghan Special Forces have reportedly eliminated all the assailants involved in the coordinated attack on the Ministry of Interior (MoI) compound in Kabu, Afghanistan.
According the Ministry officials, all assailants involved in the standoff have been eliminated by the security forces.
The officials added that, the search and clearance operation is still being conducted in the vicinity of the ministry.
In the meantime, the Ministry of Interior spokesman Najib Danish said the attack was carried out by a group of at least ten terror operatives and seven of them were killed during the clashes with the security forces.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility behind the attack, but the Taliban group had earlier warned that they will carry out attacks on security institutions in the capital as part of their spring offensive.
