Afghan security forces have successfully thwarted anti-government armed militants bid to detonate a mosque in western Herat province of Afghanistan.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the militants wanted to detonate two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) inside a mosque in Adraskan district but the National Police forces discovered and defused the explosives with the support of local residents.
According to a statement released by MoI, the criminal terrorists do not even respect holy places as part of their activities against Islam and humanity.
Humiliated anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban have not commented regarding the botched bombing plot.
