The Afghan forces have in the past 24 hours conducted 103 Joint and Special Operations against armed militants.
According to Afghan Ministry of Defense in a statement, the security forces conducted 14 joint operations and 89 special operations in a renewed onslaught to suppress the militant groups.
The Ministry further added that Afghan Air Force also conducted 24 airstrikes in support of the ground forces.
The statement showed that the security forces conducted the operations in Faryab, Badghis, Paktiya, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Takhar, Helmand, Kapisa, Khost, Logar, Nimroz, Herat, Balkh and Sar-e-Pul provinces.
The Defense Ministry underscored that the militant groups suffered heavy casualties with at least 151 militants being killed and 75 others being wounded during the same operations.
The Ministry of Defense also added that the coalition forces also provided support to the Afghan security forces during the operations.
