24-year old marathoner Samuel Wanjiru is dead after allegedly falling off from his house, police reported.
Samuel Wanjiru was an Olympic gold medalist and had won several other marathons has been in the media recently following domestic quarrels and violent gun confrontations.
Police spokesman Erick Kiraithe insisted that there is no doubt that Wanjiru committed suicide after he was caught with another woman in his house by his wife.
An angry argument ensued between Samuel Wanjiru and his wife. The drunk Wanjiru angrily exchanged words and then jumped off his balcony to the cemented ground and died.
Wanjiru was once locked in police cells for trying to murder his wife but they reconciled and she dropped the charges.
He also narrowly escaped death in a highway accident involving his sports utility vehicle.
The father of one was a millionaire having earned millions of money from his athletic background. Wanjiru leaves behind a daughter and the wife.
