A trooper has been killed while another was critically injured when a gunman opened fire outside their barracks at Blooming Grove barracks in Pennsylvania.
Cpl. Bryon K. Dickson was killed outside the Pennsylvania State Police troopers barracks by a lone gunman who investigators say had military or police training.
Alex T. Douglass was critically shot by the same lone gunman just outside the Pennsylvania State Police troopers barracks.
Investigators say the two troopers were ambushed and had no chance of defending themselves since the gunman had concealed himself in a very strategic position.
Lt. Col. George Bivens who termed the gunman a coward said investigators hint that the gunman had an “ongoing issue with law enforcement or the government” and was targeting the Blooming Grove barracks specifically.
