CAMAC Energy Inc. reports that its subsidiary, CAMAC Energy Kenya Limited awarded seismic contracts for the acquisition of 2D seismic surveys on Block L1B onshore Kenya, and Block L16 which is partly onshore and offshore.
CAMAC Energy Kenya Limited awarded BGP Kenya Limited a contract to conduct a 2D seismic survey on Block L1B’s 700-square kilometers onshore.
The company awarded Polaris Seismic International Limited a contract to conduct 2D seismic survey within Block L16 125,000 acres.
These seismic surveys are meant to identify the geologic prospect elements which indicate commercial hydrocarbon discovery.
According to Segun Omidele, CAMAC Energy’s senior vice president of Exploration and Production these 2D seismic surveys will continue to advance the company’s work program and our understanding of the petroleum resource potential in these blocks,”
