Puntland state forces on Sunday night killed a member of ISIS aligned faction in Somali and arrested another. The incident that lasted for about an hour took place in Bosaso, Bari region of the semi-autonomous Puntland State.
A statement from Puntland Police Commander noted that pro-ISIS and Puntland forces clashed in Bosaso and subsequently one member of Daesh (ISIS) faction was killed. Another head of the pro-ISIS group responsible for the killings and bombing in Bari region was also arrested.
Also, security forces seized a vehicle loaded with weapons and explosives devices by the militants believed were intended to be used on targeted people in Bosaso locality.
