Top Al-Shabaab commanders are among 20 militants killed in Jubbaland military operations conducted in the villages of Abdalla Birole, about 55 kilometers east of Kismayo, Lower Juba.
According to a press release from the Jubbaland state media, the 1st battalion of the Jubbaland forces in an offensive killed 20 Al-Shabaab operatives and wounded several others. Among the terror operatives killed include the head Al-Shabaab militant group in the west of Kismayo and the head of the landmine identified as Tasmir and Adani.
Corresponding reports from locals reported that heavy gun battle in the village as the militants were gathering in the town, they were suddenly raided by Jubbaland forces. The forces took control the villages which were under the control of Al-Shabaab militants in Abdalla Birole, Lower Juba.
