NISA confirmed that it arrested an Al-Shabaab operative in the capital, Mogadishu. NISA sources further added that the man was in the process of facilitating attacks for two operatives arrested last week outskirts of Mogadishu.
NISA officers arrested a suspect from Business Company believed to be economically linked to a group involved orchestrating attacks in Mogadishu, NISA said in a tweet.
The Somali Intelligence however didn’t provide the details of the suspect as well as the name of the business firm he was employed.
Somali security agencies backed by AU troops have intensified the crackdown against armed group operatives mainly in the capital, Mogadishu in an effort to disrupt and thwart possible attacks.
