A drone strike conducted in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Tuesday night reportedly killed a prominent ISIS leader alongside other terror fighters.
According to the provincial government media office in a statement, foreign forces carried out an airstrike using unmanned aerial vehicle which targeted a group of ISIS militants in Abdul Khel area of Achin district.
A prominent leader of ISIS Khurasan identified as Mawlavi Sulaiman was killed in the airstrike together with his four fighters.
Some weapons and munitions were also destroyed during the same airstrike, the provincial government added.
The anti-government armed militants including ISIS loyalists have not commented regarding the airstrike.
