The Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia, Harakat Shabaab Mujahideen carried out multiple terror attacks in the Horn of Africa country.
In El-Wak, a border town in Somalia, the terror group detonated rooftop explosive devices resulting to twin bomb explosions inside tea-shops guarded by female Somali police officers. Six persons were badly injured while 2 are confirmed dead.
The terror group issued a statement claiming it killed 13 Somalia Army troops on the coastal area of Jazeera outside the capital Mogadishu. Intelligence sources put the death toll at 3 after a roadside improvised explosive device blew the SNA troops vehicle.
In Beledweyne, an area in Central Somalia, Shabaab terror group detonated a roadside IED targeting the Djibouti Army AMISOM contingent in the morning. There were no reports of casualties.
