Syrian army and its allies have reclaimed several areas claimed by Islamic State militants in the west side of the Euphrates River, north east of Deir Ezzor.
The areas, Jalaa,Hasrat and Sayay, were recovered after fierce fighting against the militants.
According to the Syrian army, dozens of militants were killed and injured during the operations and their arms and infrastructure destroyed.
Further, 1,200 former militants of radical bands received a pardon from the Syrian government in the city of Bebila, south of Damascus, after they handed over their weapons to the military forces.
