The National Police Service has issues a security alert for four al-shabaab militants who are planning to stage attacks against Kenyans.
Ibrahim Mohammed alias Shariff lin Kulul
-He is reported to be hiding in mountainous area of Gedo in Somalia.
-He is believed to have sent Ahmed Dabar to identify targets for attacks in Mandera and Wajir.
Ahmed Dabar
-He was a Madrasa student before joining al-shabaab.
-He was involved in the February 2018 attack on teachers at Qarsa Primary School in Wajir.
Abdiwahab Osman Ahmed
-He moved to Somalia in 2016
-Ahmed hails from Wajir but currently hides in Gado
Mumina Eroba
– Is the mother of Abdiwahab Osman Ahmed and is complicit of his activities
Police have urged all Kenyans to exercise caution round public spaces and to report all suspicious activities.
The police have however moved to assure that they have enhanced security measures around the country and are closing in on the suspects.
