Two Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorists have been killed in Nusaybin, a district of southeastern Mardin province on Saturday. The two had attempted to attack a border unit prompting the response of Turkish authorities.
Five other terrorists surrendered to security forces in Silopi district of southeastern Sirnak. The terorirsts had eascaped their hideout in northern Iraq.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU — resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
