Turkish F-16 jets pounded on PKK hideouts in northern part of Iraq killing at least 10 PKK combatants.
In a statement, the Turkish General Staff confirmed that warplanes conducted air sorties targeting the terror group in the Avasin-Basyan region on Tuesday evening.
The PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU — resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
The terror has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children.
