Security Operatives in Bama town, Borno State, northeast Nigeria on Monday night foiled a suicide bomb attack in the town.
The foiled would be attack came less than 48 hours after two female suicide bombers detonated their vests at a mosque killing 7 people and injuring several others.
According to a statement from Borno State Command on Tuesday morning, it confirmed that at about 10pm Monday night, three suicide bombers who attempted to infiltrate Bama town through Ajilari area were sighted and challenged by security operatives.
The bombers hurriedly detonated the IEDs strapped to their bodies killing themselves only. Also bomb making materials were recovered by security officers a few meters from the scene.
