The Russian Air Force using sukhoi fighters jets carried out a heavy bombardment on ISIL’s positions in the Euphrates River Valley in Eastern Deir Ezzur, inflicting major losses on the terrorist group near the border with Iraq, field sources reported on Tuesday.
The field sources further added that the fighter jets targeted and destroyed a main position of the ISIL terrorists where tens of the fighters were neutralized and their weaponry destroyed.
Some open sources on had reported that US had conducted the air raids in Deir Ezzur. On Tuesday US had established a new military in this area and had dispatched weapons and military equipment to the region.
Moscow had earlier warned the Syrian forces of a possible US assault on their positions.
