Somali Army (SNA) officer identified as Mohamed Hassan Isse shot dead outside his house in Mogadishu’s Dharkenley district. Hassan Isse is the 3rd officer to be killed in the capital in 24 hrs.
ISIS and Al-Shabaab assassins have employed and escalated the strategy of assassination to spread fear and uncertainty among army and intelligence officers in the Capital Mogadishu and its outskirts particularly Afgoye.
The al Shabaab both affiliated to al Qaeda and the splinter group affiliated to ISIS have been targeting the security agents to instill fear in a bid to pressure them to back down the intensifies operations targeting the group’s hideouts and network.
