Al Shabaab has claimed responsibility for a suicide vehicle bound explosive improvised device (SVBIED) attack targeting a NISA checkpoint in Siinka Dherre area located along the Mogadishu-Afgoye road.
Security sources confirmed that attack killed the suicide bomber but no further casualties but wounded two people.
Al Shabaab terror group which thrives on propaganda and fanatical amplification of events and attacks have resulted in the crude tactics to instill fear by exaggerating casualties.
Moreover, the group has been using false numbers and exaggerated attacks to instill fear and garner the deteriorating support from Somali youth. The attack comes as AMISOM troop-contributing countries military chiefs and other stakeholders hold a strategy meeting in Uganda set to reinvigorate the anti-al Shabaab campaign in Somalia.
