South Western troops of Somalia have repulsed a would-be deadly overrun of a military camp near Wajid Town Airport by al Shabaab militants in Bakool region. Security sources revealed that the early night attack seemed ill-orchestrated seeing as the fighters were poorly coordinated.
There was heavy gunfire exchange between the South West troops and the terrorists killed dozens of the enemy combatants. There were no casualties on the army side as they were able to successfully repulse the attack and drive the al Shabaab out of the town.
Security forces in Bakool region have remained on high alert to ensure that al Shabaab militants remain cut off from their primary food and weapons supply which has gravely weakened the militants.
