Turkish warplanes bombardments destroyed weapon depots and hideouts used by PKK terrorists in the Gara region of northern Iraq, the military confirmed on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish General Staff, the warplanes carried out the air raids targeting PKK camps in the Gara region on Tuesday evening.
The war fighter jets destroyed a weapon emplacement, a hideout as well as arms and ammunition depots used by terrorists believed were preparing for an attack.
The PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU — resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
