Nigeria took to social media to remember and celebrate Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu-Ali the fallen hero killed in a Boko Haram ambush in Borno State.
Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu-Ali has been described as Nigeria’s ‘finest and bravest in anti-Boko Haram combatant fight.
Abu Ali will be given a national burial in the administrative capital of Abuja on Monday 7th November 2017 alongside other gallant soldiers who paid the ultimate price in the price against the terrorist group.
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari received the news of the fallen hero and sent his personal condolences to the family of the soldier and ordered his Chief of Staff to represent him at the burial ceremony.
The president called on members of the Armed Forces to not allow this tragic incident dampen their spirits and resolve saying evil will not triumph over good.
Lt. Colonel Abu Ali was killed at Mallam Fatori, a major Boko Haram stronghold in the far north of Borno State – home to the insurgency.
Sources say he was hit by several bullets as he tried to repel an ongoing attack in the town.
