ISIS Amaq agency has issued a statement confirming that the attack against a General Service Unit (GSU) officer outside the United States Embassy in Nairobi Kenya was executed by its Somali soldier.
According to the statement, 'the executor of the stabbing attack targeting a gaurd of the U.S Embassy in Nairobi on Thursday was a soldier of the Islamic State. He carried out the operation in response to calls to target coalition countries.'
This is the second ISIS attack in Kenya. The 1st attack was carred out by 3 young women in Mombasa. They targeted a police station in the central business district.
