Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May has pledged to increase Britain’s troops in Somalia to help the war-torn country fight against the Islamist militant group, Al-Shabaab.
The PM made the revelation during the General Assembly in New York. Mrs. May reiterated that Britain leading role in the fight against terrorist groups.
Mrs. May revealed that UK will be sending more troops to train local forces to battle the Al Qaeda affiliated militants. 30 training teams will be sent to the horn of the Africa nation with up to 70 troops already at the time involved in the mission.
