OSINT SUMMARY
Somali National Army (SNA) forces battled and taking full control of a key village in Gedo region from the Al Qaeda affiliated Islamists Al-Shabaab.
According Col. Osman Nur Hajji, a Somali army commander in Burdhubo, SNA in deadly offensive raided Al-Shabaab Wednesday 31st August 2016 recapturing Hudur Wayne village located about 30 kilometers south of the city.
SNA forces moved in the vicinity from different angles, engaged Al-Shabaab in a deadly fight that show the insurgents pushed out of Hudur Wayne village which has been under their control.
Military BDA indicate that several militants were killed with at least 2 SNA soldiers being martyred and others wounded in the fight.
