According to latest OSINT reports on Somalia media outlets, Puntland security forces have released names of five most wanted Al-Shabaab terrorists behind the recent bombing in Galkayo.
The five are behind a terror cell of suicide bombers. Last week a suicide bomb attack left at least 30 innocent civilians killed and score rushed to hospitals with injuries.
Puntland has released the names of those believed to be involved and called on public to volunteer with information that may lead to their apprehension once full details and their photo made available.
The terrorist linked with Galkayo bombing include, Mohamed Bashir Mohamed Jama, known as “Mohamed”. The Somali nationality is aged 40-45, born in Galkayo and hails from Omar Mohamoud clan and Reer Mahad Sub-clan. Security forces say he is the head of Al-Shabaab, responsible for the explosions in Puntland.
Another wanted terrorist whose biodata has been released is identified as Nur Mohamed Abdullahi, also known as Nur Deq. He is a Somali national aged 45 years and born in Galkayo. Nur Deq comes from Sacad clan and Reer Hilowle Sub-clan. Security forces say he is the head of Al-Shabaab responsible for assassinations and explosions dedicated for Mudug region.
The third on the most wanted list is Abdulkari Haji Yousuf. He is also a Somali national born in Galkayo. He comes from Dir clan and sub-clan of Qubeys.
Abdishakur Mire is also on Puntland most wanted for terrorism activities. He is a Somali national, born in Galkayo. He comes from Sacad clan and Reer Nimcaale sub-clan.
The last one on the most wanted Al-Shabaab terrorist list by Puntland security forces is identified as Muhiyadi Dakhare. He is a Somali national, also born in Galkayo. He hails from Sacad clan and Reer Hilowle Sub-clan.
Puntland security officials have described the above listed Al-Shabaab radicals as dangerous linking them to string of attacks in Puntland, particularly in Mudug region.
Once their photos are released, public called on to help with intelligence/information that may lead to their arrests.
