Intelligence gathered shows Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) Could Attack Uganda Oil Fields in Rwenzori and Bunyoro regions even after Uganda deployed its troops to guard these regions.
Uganda has deployed its armed forces to offer security to its oil fields and exploration blocks, the Uganda People Defence Forces (UPDF) has confirmed.
Rwenzori and Bunyoro regions have great potential for natural resources and the need to protect them is critical, an army intelligence official explained.
The region has strategic resources like oil and gas and it is under watch from Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels whose strength has grown to between 800-1000 strongmen.
